Jet Ski Requirement
Do you have a boating permit? Anyone born on or after January 1st, 1988 is required by law to have a boating license permit to operate a personal watercraft in the state of Florida, including jet skis. But we have you covered! Passenger Age Limit: Minimum passenger age is 8 years old.

Weight Limit: Maximum combined weight per jet ski is 400 lbs.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Rental Rules

Life Jackets: All riders must wear a USCG-approved life jacket at all times.

Operating Area: Rentals must stay within the designated riding area. Exiting the boundaries is strictly prohibited.

No Wake Zones: Respect all posted no-wake zones. Speeding in these areas is dangerous and illegal.

No Alcohol/Drugs: Operation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate termination of rental with no refund.

Weather Policy: Rentals may be canceled or paused due to unsafe weather conditions. In such cases, we offer rescheduling or prorated refunds.

Damage: Renters are fully responsible for any damage caused to the jet ski or other property during the rental period.

Late Returns: Late returns will be charged $50 for every 15 minutes past the scheduled return time.

Safety Briefing: All renters must complete a pre-rental safety orientation and sign a waiver of liability.
Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable.

No-shows will be charged 100% of the rental fee.

No reckless behavior or jumping boat wakes.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for safety or policy concerns.
Security Deposit

A $250 damage deposit per jet ski is required at check-in and refunded upon return if no damage is incurred.
Weather Policy

Rentals may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of unsafe weather conditions (e.g., lightning, strong winds).

If Alta Mar Rentals cancels due to weather, you will receive a full refund or option to reschedule.
